Medication wasting has been adding to the cost burden on healthcare system. Sustainable interventions such as using patients’ own medications have implemented upgrade medicine management This review aimed describe studies related medication in hospital settings explore its positive impacts. Current literature studied impact of medicines from cost-effectiveness, clinical, and patient safety perspectives. The economic was represented by determining saved after implementing patient’s intervention. On other hand, efficacy care proven reducing frequency error prevalence drug-drug interactions intervention implemented. Patients’ knowledge their also be improved with during hospitalization, improving adherence treatment. Improving patients' prescriptions hospitalization may aid reduction readmissions, which could result a net return.
